From Monday, September 22, roadworks will be underway at the intersection of Aleja Solidarności and Żelazna Street in Warsaw, causing temporary traffic and tram route changes.
Roadworks and Lane Adjustments
Roadworks will be conducted at the intersection of Aleja Solidarności and Żelazna Street by Strabag on behalf of the Warsaw City Roads Authority. The works are dependent on the progress of construction in Aleja Jana Pawła II.
From September 22, Aleja Solidarności will be narrowed to one lane near Wolski Town Hall. Two lanes will be available near the intersection with Żelazna Street: one for left turns and one for straight or right turns.
Impact on Public Transport
Trams will not operate between Okopowa and Aleja Jana Pawła II from September 22 to 28. Lines 13, 23, and 66 will be suspended, while lines 20, 26, and 68 will have altered routes.
A replacement bus line, Z26, will operate between Plac Bankowy and the intersection of Wolskiej and Młynarskiej streets. Additional tram lines 70 and 73 will be introduced to compensate for the disruptions.
Changes to Bus Stops and Parking
The bus stop for line 157 towards Gwiaździsta will be relocated before the intersection with Aleja Solidarności.
Temporary no-parking signs will be installed around the intersection until September 28.
