Two Polish special forces soldiers, known as “cichociemni,” died in a parachute training accident in the United States on September 19, 2025.

The GROM military unit reported on Facebook that two “cichociemni” operators from their unit died in a parachute accident on September 19, 2025.
“Cześć Ich Pamięci!” – the unit stated, paying respects to their memory.
Investigation and Support
The General Command of the Polish Armed Forces reported that the accident occurred during a nighttime parachute training exercise in the United States.
A special commission has been established to investigate the causes of the tragic incident.
The families of the deceased soldiers have been provided with comprehensive support.
Tributes from Officials
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the two soldiers.
Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote: “Two excellent soldiers from our Special Forces died during nighttime parachute exercises in the USA… I offer them my deepest condolences.”
