Investigation into F16 Plane Crash in Radom: Black Box Recordings Analyzed

Polish prosecutors have analyzed black box recordings from the August 28, 2025, F16 plane crash in Radom, Poland, as part of their ongoing investigation.

Investigation and Analysis

The Warsaw Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that the analysis of the flight data recorders, also known as “black boxes,” was conducted in a licensed laboratory in the United States.

The recorders were found to be functional and contained technical data from the ill-fated flight.

Conduct of the Analysis

The analysis was attended by a Polish prosecutor from the Department of Military Affairs of the National Prosecution Office and an expert from the Military Gendarmerie’s Forensic Laboratory.

Parallel Investigations

Separately, members of the Polish State Commission for the Investigation of Aviation Accidents were conducting their own investigation in the United States.

The Prime Minister’s Chancellery provided logistical support, while the Polish diplomatic services and Ministry of Foreign Affairs handled organizational formalities.
