Ambulance Rolls Back, Crushes Tow Truck Operator Against Bus

A 40-year-old tow truck worker is fighting for his life after a broken-down ambulance rolled backwards and pinned him to a city bus in Warsaw.

A serious accident occurred on Łopuszańska Street, near Krakow Avenue, at the Hynka 06 bus stop in the Włochy district of Warsaw. A 40-year-old roadside assistance worker was crushed between a private ambulance and a city bus.

The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where doctors are battling to save his life.

Ambulance Breakdown and Towing Attempt

The incident took place at the intersection of Łopuszańska Street and Krakow Avenue. A private ambulance broke down on the roadway, and those present pushed it into a bus bay.

Hitch Failure and Rollback

Roadside assistance was called to the scene. During an attempt to winch the ambulance onto a tow truck, a hitch reportedly detached. The ambulance then began to roll backwards.

Worker Pinned Against Bus

The 40-year-old roadside assistance worker was behind the ambulance and attempted to stop it, but the vehicle’s weight was too great. It pinned him against a city bus that was stopped at the bus stop.

Critical Injuries and Police Investigation

The injured man lost consciousness and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police are on scene investigating the exact cause and circumstances of the accident, including the removal of the damaged vehicle and the moment the ambulance began to roll.
