Belarus Foreign Ministry Seeks Polish Cooperation Over Alleged Terrorist Acts

Belarus says it is collaborating with Poland to locate two Ukrainian suspects accused of terrorist acts there and has requested their extradition.

Belarus FM Claims Cooperation With Poland

Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ruslan Warankow announced that Belarus and Poland are cooperating to determine the whereabouts of two Ukrainian citizens suspected of committing terrorist crimes in Poland.

He confirmed that the suspects entered Belarusian territory and are currently being sought. If located, they will be detained by Belarusian authorities.

Warankow said the eventual hand‑over to Polish authorities will follow established procedures and take all circumstances into account. He added that Poland has not yet submitted a formal request for legal assistance.

Belarus Diplomat Called to Polish FM; Note for Extradition

On 19 November, a Belarus charge d’affaires was summoned to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was handed a diplomatic note requesting the extradition of two Ukrainian nationals suspected of carrying out terrorist acts linked to Russian special services in the Polish villages of Mika and Gołąb.

Prime Minister Tusk Names Ukrainian Suspects of Disruption Acts

Donald Tusk identified the two alleged perpetrators: one is a Ukrainian citizen who was sentenced in Lviv in May for acts of disruption, and the other is a former Donbas prosecutor who fled to Belarus.

Both men allegedly planned to travel from Belarus to Poland in the autumn, commit the disruption, and then depart Poland through Terespol.
