A man died on Saturday morning in Radzymin, Poland, after climbing a high-voltage power pylon, suffering an electric shock, and falling 20 meters into a nearby pond despite rescue efforts.
The Incident in Radzymin
The tragedy occurred on Saturday shortly after 11:00 AM on Jana Pawła II Avenue in Radzymin, located in the Wołomin district. After climbing the high-voltage structure, the man was electrocuted and fell roughly 20 meters into a pond.
Eyewitness Accounts and Sequence of Events
According to preliminary findings and witness reports, the man prayed at a nearby roadside shrine before approaching the pylon. He then climbed the structure and began removing his clothing shortly before the lethal electrical discharge occurred.
Rescue Operations and Investigation
Emergency services, including fire department units with boats, medical teams, and police, arrived on the scene immediately. Despite rapid intervention, the man could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the site.
Authorities have secured the area to conduct a formal investigation. Police are working under the supervision of a prosecutor to determine the exact circumstances and underlying causes of the fatal incident.
