Former PiS Minister Robert Telus attempted to avoid questioning from TVP Info journalist Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz in the Polish Parliament.
Attempt to Avoid Journalist
On Thursday (January 15), Justyna Dobrosz-Oracz, a journalist from TVP Info, published a video on social media showing her attempting to question Robert Telus in the Sejm. The former minister in the PiS government tried to avoid the conversation. “He even fell on a woman…” she commented. The video shows the journalist running down stairs after the politician. “Sir Member, Minister Telus, don’t pretend you can’t hear me,” she says. Despite her calls, Telus walks quickly ahead until he actually bumps into a woman standing in a Sejm corridor.
Questioned About Party Suspension
Eventually, the journalist caught up with the MP and asked him if he was still suspended from the party. “Yes, yes,” he confirmed. PiS made this decision after it emerged that he had approved the sale of a plot of land intended for the CPK, while serving as Agriculture Minister. Dobrosz-Oracz then asked about the internal team formed by PiS to investigate the matter. “Have you been interrogated?” she asked. “Yes, several times, and I’m waiting. I’m optimistic,” he replied. However, he did not answer whether he “sold the plot” for CPK, instead encouraging people to read the statements he issued after his suspension.
The Land Sale Controversy
Robert Telus was suspended from PiS membership in October 2025. At that time, Wirtualna Polska revealed that in 2023, shortly before leaving power, the Agriculture Ministry led by PiS had approved the sale of a plot in Zabłotnia to a Dawtona company vice president. This location was crucial for the Central Port Communication project as it was supposed to have a high-speed rail line from Warsaw to the airport. The land then belonged to the National Support Center for Agriculture (KOWR) and had been leased by Dawtona owners since 2008. In December of last year, KOWR regained the property at the price it was purchased for, that is, 22 million 760 thousand zlotys.
