German-Wanted Fugitive Apprehended at Warsaw Administrative Office

A 36-year-old Uzbek citizen wanted under a European Arrest Warrant was detained by Border Guard officers at the Mazovian Voivodeship Office in Warsaw while applying for residency.

Border Guard officers from the Warsaw-Modlin station detained a 36-year-old Uzbek citizen at the Mazovian Voivodeship Office in Warsaw. The man had arrived at the office to supplement formal deficiencies in his application for a temporary residence permit in Poland.

Criminal suspicion and extradition

During the identification process, authorities discovered the man was wanted by German authorities via a European Arrest Warrant for arrest and extradition. He is suspected of participating in a criminal group that organizes the illegal migration of foreigners into Germany.

Legal detention and court order

Following his detention, administrative proceedings regarding an obligation to return were initiated. The individual was transferred to the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office for further legal proceedings, and the Warsaw District Court has ordered a seven-day temporary arrest.
