Head-on Collision Between Car and Bus Kills One, Injures Five

One person was killed and five injured today in a head-on collision between a car and bus in Prabuty, Poland.

Accident Details

Today, at approximately 11:50 AM in Prabuty (Długosiodło Commune, Wyszków County), a tragic road accident occurred. According to preliminary police findings, the 55-year-old driver of a Volkswagen failed to adjust her speed to road conditions.

Collision Cause

On a curve, on an icy road, the woman lost control of her vehicle, leading to a head-on collision with a Citroen bus traveling in the opposite direction. The bus was driven by a 19-year-old.

Victims

There were 8 people on the bus, of whom 5 sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. Despite resuscitation attempts, the life of the Volkswagen driver could not be saved.

Investigation

Procedures at the accident scene were supervised by the Wyszków District Prosecutor’s Office. The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
