On Friday, October 31, Warsaw City Guard officers on a routine patrol at 14:00 on Wybrzeże Kościuszkowskie spotted a man riding a bicycle opposite the flow of traffic on Wisłostrada, situated along 3 Maja Avenue.
Police Intervention on 3 Maja Avenue
The guards immediately ordered the cyclist to stop, pointing out that moving against traffic on this high‑speed artery poses a serious risk to both the cyclist and motorists. He complied, allowing officers to conduct a check.
Alcohol Smell Leads to Breathalyzer Test
During verification the officers detected an odor of alcohol. The cyclist admitted having drunk two beers about two hours earlier. A breathalyzer test confirmed a blood alcohol content near 0.2 ‰.
