KRUS Provides Free Sanatorium Stays and Travel Reimbursement for Farmers

Polish farmers can access 21 days of free medical rehabilitation and travel expense reimbursement through KRUS to help maintain their capacity for agricultural work.

KRUS Rehabilitation Overview

Polish farmers can access 21 days of free regeneration in Poland’s top spas. KRUS covers the costs of treatments and accommodation and, in many cases, provides reimbursement for travel expenses.

Why It Is Worth It: Career Stability

Rehabilitation funded by KRUS aims to treat diseases and, primarily, maintain the ability to work. This prevents permanent inability to manage a farm.

The program helps farmers return to professional activity more quickly, improve physical condition, and mitigate the effects of work-related illnesses.

Spa Treatments and Recovery

Spa treatments provide a comprehensive program for patient recovery and regeneration. This includes physiotherapy, movement exercises, hydrotherapy, and therapies designed to rebuild fitness after injuries or during chronic illnesses.

Zero Cost and Travel Reimbursement

One of the greatest advantages is the lack of fees for accommodation and treatment, as KRUS funds the entire rehabilitation session. Qualified individuals incur no costs for lodging or procedures.

Additionally, reimbursement is possible for travel via the cheapest form of public transportation. A standard session lasts 21 days; while usually allowed once a year, exceptions exist for those returning from long-term illness or the end of disability benefits.

The Qualification Process

The decision to issue a referral is made by the attending physician or a KRUS medical commission. The referral depends on the farmer’s health and whether rehabilitation can improve their farming capacity.

KRUS Centers: From Baltic Beaches to Karkonosze Trails

KRUS trips are organized in Farmer Rehabilitation Centers or partner facilities located throughout the country, from Kołobrzeg to Szklarska Poręba. These locations allow farmers to benefit from professional treatments and the therapeutic qualities of the natural environment.
