Influencer Piotr Hancke, known as Łatwogang, has cycled 406 km from Zakopane toward Gdańsk, raising over 9.3 million złoty in 29 hours to support gene therapy for children with DMD.
The Fundraising Progress
As of Saturday, May 23, at 9:43 p.m., after more than 29 hours of cycling, Łatwogang has collected over 9.3 million złoty. Having passed through the Łódź Voivodeship, he entered the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship after 9:00 p.m., with approximately 280 km remaining on his route.
Solidarity Through Digital Engagement
Piotr Hancke emphasized that the campaign relies on the active participation of his online audience. He noted that every form of support, including watching the live stream and the displayed advertisements, contributes significantly to the cause.
Mission to Fund Life-Saving Therapy
The journey from Zakopane to Gdańsk was inspired by stories of children diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), specifically young Maks. The objective is to cover the 15 million złoty cost of gene therapy; over 3 million złoty had been raised since October 2025, with more than 12 million złoty still needed at the start of the ride.
Physical Demands of the Challenge
Hancke estimated that the cross-country trip could take approximately 40 hours. Supported by a technical team following in a vehicle, the influencer plans to rest for 8–10 hours in Gdańsk before returning to Zakopane. He previously gained prominence for a nine-day charity stream that raised over 251 million złoty for the Cancer Fighters foundation.
