Influencer Piotr Hancke, known as Łatwogang, has raised over 11 million PLN for gene therapy after cycling 434 km of his planned route from Zakopane to Gdańsk over 31 hours.
Fundraising Progress and Solidarity
As of Sunday morning, after more than 31 hours of cycling, Łatwogang has raised over 11 million PLN. He has covered 434 km, with approximately 258 km remaining in his journey.
Before starting, Piotr Hancke emphasized the solidarity nature of the campaign, noting that viewer engagement through live stream ads contributes significantly to the total. He encouraged supporters to watch the broadcast, stating that every form of engagement, including simply tuning in, counts.
Route and Logistics
Hancke noted that he prepared for the trip in a short timeframe and that the pace depends on physical conditions and weather. He estimated the total journey from Zakopane to Gdańsk could take 40 hours.
The influencer is traveling without a strictly detailed route, accompanied by friends in a support vehicle. He plans to sleep for 8–10 hours upon reaching Gdańsk before returning to Zakopane.
Campaign Objectives and Motivation
The fundraiser aims to secure 15 million PLN for a child’s gene therapy. Since October 2025, over 3 million PLN has been collected, with about 12 million PLN still needed. The account held over 400,000 PLN at the start of the trip.
Hancke was inspired by the stories of children suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), specifically a boy named Maks who contacted him via email. Hancke previously led a charity drive that raised over 251 million PLN for the Cancer Fighters foundation.
