Man Apprehended at Parcel Machine Faces 10 Years in Prison

A 36-year-old was caught attempting to break into a parcel machine in Trzcinica and faces up to 10 years for allegedly breaking into 56 lockers across four Polish voivodeships.

Trzcinica. He Tried to Break Into a Parcel Machine

The apprehension of the 36-year-old resident of Legnica occurred during the night from January 15 to 16 at 3:10 AM in Trzcinica in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. Officers noticed the man as he was walking with a crowbar towards a parcel machine.

In his conversation with police, the 36-year-old admitted that he intended to break into the lockers. Additionally, three packages were found in his car, which had labels addressed to another machine in Komorzno in the Opole Voivodeship.

He Broke Into 56 Lockers in Total

During further actions, officers established that these were not the only attempts to break into parcel machines. It turned out that the 36-year-old broke into a total of 56 parcel machine lockers in four voivodeships.

The man opened lockers and took whatever was valuable. Fortunately, most of them were empty. He operated in the Greater Poland, Lower Silesian, Opole, and Lubusz voivodeships and faces up to 10 years in prison.
