On Tuesday, March 10, a meeting between President Karol Nawrocki and Prime Minister Donald Tusk regarding the ‘Polish SAFE 0%’ program began after 3 PM at the Presidential Palace. Tusk’s motorcade arrived shortly after 3 PM.

Presidential Office Announces Legislative Plans
Presidential Chief of Staff Paweł Szefernaker announced the meeting at 3:11 PM, stating a presidential bill for the Polish Investment Fund of Defense, realizing the ‘Polish SAFE 0%,’ would be submitted to the Sejm shortly. Tusk Warns of ‘Plan B’ if President Vetoes SAFE
Before the meeting, Prime Minister Tusk stated he had received information President Nawrocki intended to veto the SAFE law. Tusk vowed to ask directly about the decision and expressed bewilderment at blocking SAFE amid global conflicts and war near Poland’s border, adding a ‘Plan B’ would be prepared regardless.
President’s Office Responds to Tusk’s Remarks
Presidential spokesperson Rafał Leśkiewicz countered that Tusk misunderstood Poland’s constitutional order. Decisions on laws, including the SAFE loan, rest with the President, who has until March 20 to act.
