Mercedes Crashes onto Sidewalk After Collision on Mokotow

A collision between a Mercedes and Toyota RAV4 on Puławska Street in Warsaw’s Mokotow district sent a 4-year-old girl to hospital.

After 17:30 on Wednesday, 21 January, a collision occurred between a Mercedes and a Toyota RAV4 on Puławska Street at the intersection with Odyńca Street in the Mokotow district. Following the impact, the Mercedes mounted the sidewalk.

Emergency services were notified at 17:35. The Toyota RAV4 was driven solely by its driver. The Mercedes contained both its driver and a child.

Injuries and Response

All individuals involved exited their vehicles independently before emergency responders arrived. The child and the Toyota’s driver were transported in ambulances.

The 4-year-old girl was conscious and sustained a head injury; she was taken to a hospital. The Toyota driver’s condition was not detailed beyond ambulance transport.

Police Findings

Police identified the Mercedes driver as the at-fault party, citing failure to yield right-of-way while making a left turn. The incident was classified as a collision.

The Mercedes driver was issued a traffic violation fine.

During emergency response operations, traffic was disrupted on Puławska Street. The two outer lanes heading toward Śródmieście were blocked.
