Planned 2026 reforms for Polish civil servant exams remain superficial, failing to address key concerns, officials say.
Limited Reforms for 2026
In 2026, significant reforms were expected for civil servant qualification exams. Unfortunately, only minor adjustments have been implemented. Civil service employees will still face difficult exams, including psychological tests.
Expert Calls for Deeper Changes
Anita Noskowska-Piątkowska, head of the civil service, aims to select the best-appointed officials, not just test legal knowledge. Last year, tests were reviewed, and competency assessments were made more realistic. However, experts believe changes should be more profound, but there is no political will for a thorough reform.
