Mława SPEED Group Cracks Down on Speeding and Unlicensed Driving

Mława’s SPEED group conducted operations last week targeting speeding drivers and those operating vehicles without proper licenses.

Speeding Violation and License Revocation

During the past week, officers from Mława’s SPEED group conducted operations focused on improving road safety. On the national S7 road, officers identified a 33-year-old man driving a Volkswagen who exceeded the speed limit by 104 km/h. For this violation, he was fined 2,500 zł and received 15 penalty points.

During the inspection, it was discovered that the man was driving despite a court decision to revoke his license. Documentation was prepared for further criminal proceedings.

Driving a vehicle despite a court decision to revoke licenses carries serious legal consequences as it is a crime, not just a violation. The man faces a fine, restriction of liberty, or imprisonment of up to 2 years. The court may also issue a ban on driving motor vehicles for several years.

Driving Without Licenses

During another road check in Mława, officers identified a 40-year-old Colombian citizen driving without any license to operate a vehicle. Documentation was prepared for a court punishment request, and the vehicle was removed from the road at the owner’s expense.

A similar incident occurred on al. św. Wojciecha in Mława, where police stopped another Colombian citizen for a road check who also lacked the required license to drive a vehicle.

In this case as well, a request for punishment was submitted to court, and the vehicle was removed from the road at the owner’s expense. The men will answer for driving without licenses before the Court. This act is punishable by a fine and the possibility of a driving ban. They will also incur additional costs related to towing and storing the vehicle.

Road Safety Reminder

The Mława SPEED group plays a key role in improving road safety, consistently responding to the most dangerous behaviors: excessive speeding, ignoring administrative decisions, and driving without licenses. Through these actions, drivers who pose a serious threat to others are temporarily removed from traffic.

Excessive speed remains one of the main causes of tragic accidents. Driving without a license or despite its revocation is not just a violation of the law but a real threat to life. Road checks are conducted daily in various locations, also using unmarked police vehicles.

We appeal to all drivers for reasonableness, adherence to regulations, and responsibility, as road safety depends on every road user.
