Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński have reportedly reached an agreement following talks, confirmed by Adam Bielan.

Morawiecki-Kaczyński Talks Yield Agreement

Mateusz Morawiecki and Jarosław Kaczyński have reached an agreement, as confirmed by Adam Bielan following discussions between the two PiS leaders.

Europoseł Adam Bielan stated there is a consensus and a shared direction after the meeting between former Prime Minister Morawiecki and PiS Chairman Kaczyński.

Bielan posted on X, “There are ideas, there is an agreement and a common direction. And that sometimes sparks fly? Those who love each other quarrel,” alongside a photo of Kaczyński, Morawiecki, and Bielan at a table.

Morawiecki’s Association and Party Membership

The meeting between Kaczyński and Morawiecki garnered significant attention due to Morawiecki’s establishment of the “Rozwój Plus” association. Reports indicate that dozens of PiS parliamentarians have already joined the association.

Members emphasize they do not intend to leave PiS, and Morawiecki has assured that the association does not conflict with the PiS statute.

Morawiecki denied that the current situation within PiS constitutes a split when questioned by journalists on Monday.

Kaczyński’s Warning Regarding Association Involvement

PiS Chairman Kaczyński previously stated that individuals involved in Morawiecki’s association would not be included on PiS electoral lists.

Kaczyński asserted that the PiS statute prohibits participation in other political organizations, adding that the organization established by Morawiecki is already building local structures. He stated a choice must be made.

He announced that involvement in the association would disqualify individuals from PiS lists and could lead to further consequences outlined in the statute.

Morawiecki Denies Local Branch Plans

Morawiecki refuted claims on Monday that the association planned to establish local branches.
