MP Suski Claims Heart Attack During Questioning, Medical Exam Finds No Evidence

PiS MP Marek Suski claimed a heart attack during questioning regarding threats made to prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek, but medical personnel found no evidence of a cardiac event.

Prosecutor Files Complaint Against PiS MP

Prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek filed a complaint alleging criminal threats made by PiS MP Jacek Ozdoba during a demonstration last year following the death of Barbara Skrzypek. The demonstration took place outside the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office.

TVP Info recorded Ozdoba saying, “I’ll push her, let her f*** off,” while Suski advised, “She shouldn’t fall.” Suski added, “You barely touch her and she’ll fall.”

Suski’s Claim of Illness During Questioning

Suski was scheduled to appear for questioning as a witness on March 17th. Prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba stated the questioning was to be conducted via teleconference. Suski attended with his legal representative, and Wrzosek was also present.

Skiba reported that Suski was surprised and shocked by Wrzosek’s presence, referencing the events of the previous year and Skrzypek’s death. He claimed he felt he was about to have a heart attack, clutching his chest and stating he felt unwell, prompting an ambulance to be called.

Medical Examination Finds No Heart Attack

Before the ambulance arrived, Suski attempted to leave, but was informed they were en route. Upon arrival, paramedics examined Suski, who then left the prosecutor’s office. Skiba emphasized that medical personnel found no evidence of a heart attack and the questioning did not proceed. A new hearing date is set for April 1st. The investigation is being led by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Tarnów.

Suski’s Account of the Incident

Suski stated, “This is fighting democracy, or rather demolition. I was summoned to the prosecutor’s office for questioning in a case brought by Ewa Wrzosek against MP Jacek Ozdoba. When I saw Ms. Wrzosek, my blood pressure spiked. I felt very ill and asked for an ambulance. I told Ms. Wrzosek that I didn’t want to die like Basia Skrzypek.”

He further claimed Wrzosek watched him while doctors examined him, asking, “Is this cold revenge?”

The Death of Barbara Skrzypek

Barbara Skrzypek, an associate of PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński, was questioned as a witness on March 12, 2025, regarding an investigation into the PiS-affiliated company Srebrna and a planned development project in Warsaw. Prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek led the questioning. Skrzypek died on March 15th.

PiS politicians linked Skrzypek’s death to the stress of the questioning and the denial of her legal representative’s participation. The Warsaw-Praga District Prosecutor’s Office closed the investigation into Skrzypek’s death in December, determining it was due to a heart attack and not related to the stress of the questioning.

Call for Ethics Committee Review

Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced a motion to the Sejm Ethics Committee regarding MP Marek Suski, following an incident at a ceremony in Radom where Suski allegedly violated protocol and made offensive remarks towards an officer.
