On Monday, February 9, 2026, on national road No. 50 in the village of Morgi (Żyrardów County), near the A2 motorway, a collision of six vehicles occurred. Initially, the road was completely blocked, and then traffic was introduced in a staggered manner.
Emergency Response
The incident occurred on the section leading to the viaduct allowing access to the A2 motorway. The fire department received the report at 13:47. As reported by Jr. Brig. Jarosław Belina from the Żyrardów fire department, “two passenger cars, a bus, and a truck collided”, and a total of eight people were traveling in the vehicles. Two people were examined by the medical rescue team.
Police Investigation
The police indicate that the incident was initiated by a truck. “From the preliminary findings of the police working at the scene, it appears that the truck did not adapt its speed to the road conditions and hit the car in front,” informed Sgt. Monika Michalczyk from the County Police Headquarters in Żyrardów. She added that subsequent collisions occurred in a chain reaction, and a total of six vehicles were involved; according to police information, there were no injured persons.
