National Senior Card 2026-2027: Eligibility, Costs, and Benefits Explained

The Polish National Senior Card provides various discounts for individuals over 60 through the MANKO Association, offering benefits across medical, cultural, and hospitality sectors.

Who Is Eligible for the National Senior Card?

The card is designed for individuals who have completed their 60th year of life, regardless of whether they receive a pension or are still working professionally. The program is not dependent on income, health status, or place of employment.

It is important to note that the card is not a ZUS benefit or a state pension supplement. It is a membership program run by the MANKO Association – Głos Seniora, and the membership is personal and non-transferable.

Is the National Senior Card Free?

The card can be free for residents of municipalities participating in the “Gmina Przyjazna Seniorom” program, as the local government covers the membership cost. In all other cases, a membership fee is required.

The standard fees are 35 PLN for a one-year membership and 50 PLN for a two-year membership. Seniors should verify if their local municipality or county participates in the program before applying.

How to Obtain the National Senior Card?

Residents in participating municipalities can apply at their local office by presenting identification and completing a form. For those in non-partner municipalities, the application must be sent to the MANKO Association in Kraków along with the required membership fee.

The application process requires completing a registration form and following the organizer’s instructions for document submission. It is recommended to check the organizer’s website for the most current contact details and bank account information.

Is the Card Valid Indefinitely?

The card is issued for a fixed term, with the expiration date printed on the back. The duration of validity is tied to the amount of the membership fee paid.

Cards issued before October 1, 2023, have expired, with the exception of local editions issued by participating municipalities. Seniors should verify their card’s expiration date and check the organizer’s website for current program rules.
