Polish Economy Minister Karol Nawrocki disclosed the key points of his post‑meeting conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a joint press conference, highlighting Poland’s commitment to aid and cooperation.
Discussion with President Zelensky after Kyiv Meeting
Following a meeting at Kyiv’s Presidential Palace, Karol Nawrocki appeared in a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the state of Polish‑Ukrainian relations. He said Polish officials feel their extensive assistance since the full‑scale invasion has not been fully appreciated or understood by Kyiv. Nawrocki emphasized that he delivered these concerns to Zelensky in a firm yet honest, gentlemanly conversation.
Poland’s Stance on Russian Sanctions
The minister reaffirmed Poland’s support for comprehensive sanctions against Russia, including measures targeting the “shadow” naval fleet. He noted that Poland collaborates with other European, Baltic, and Scandinavian partners to freeze Russian assets and maintain diplomatic pressure, a policy he pursues both as president and through the Polish government.
Zelensky Calls for Polish Cooperation in Reconstruction
During the same press conference, Zelensky urged deeper cooperation between Ukraine and Poland, stressing the importance of coordinated efforts to defend Europe and the two peoples. He announced that Kyiv is ready to welcome Polish companies to participate in Ukraine’s reconstruction projects.
