Nine Vehicles Collide on S2 Near Warsaw, Children Among Injured

A massive collision involving nine cars and a truck on Poland’s S2 motorway near Warsaw on Sunday, 30 November left five people wounded, including children, and forced a left‑hand lane closure for about two hours.

A serious crash occurred on the S2 motorway in the Konotopa‑Opacz junction area on Sunday evening, 30 November. Eight passenger cars and one truck collided.

Casualties and response

Police reports say 24 people were in the vehicles. Five were injured, among them children. Two were taken to hospital; the other three received on‑scene care from first responders.

Traffic disruption

The accident caused traffic toward Poznań to be allowed only in the left lane. Congestion is expected to last roughly two hours.

Official statements

Officer of the West Warsaw County State Fire Service, Junior Captain Damian Dolniak, informed PAP, whose dispatch is quoted by Super Express, about the incident. The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways confirmed the number of vehicles involved.
