The Polish National Rehabilitation Fund (PFRON) offers up to 85% funding for adapted vehicles for people with disabilities, with the application window closing March 31, 2026.
Last Chance for 2026 PFRON Automotive Funding
The deadline to apply for PFRON automotive funding in 2026 is rapidly approaching, with only a few days remaining. A total of 50 million złoty is available in this round of funding.
Interested individuals should promptly gather necessary documents, including a current medical certificate, and submit their applications through the Support Service System (SOW) before the March 31, 2026, 23:59 deadline.
Funding Scope: New and Used Vehicles
PFRON has allocated 50 million złoty for the seventh edition of the program. These funds can be used for both new and used vehicles adapted to the needs of drivers or passengers with disabilities.
Vehicles must allow entry and continued travel without requiring transfer from a wheelchair.
Application Process
Applications can be submitted through the Support Service System (SOW). Alternatively, applicants can submit their applications in person at a PFRON branch with the assistance of a Fund employee.
Eligible Funding Categories
The program supports the purchase of both new and used passenger cars adapted to the needs of a person with a disability.
Eligibility Criteria
Funding is available to individuals who meet specific criteria, details of which are available through PFRON.
Application Deadline Reminder
The final deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2026, at 23:59. No applications will be accepted after this date for this funding round. Applicants are urged to prepare their documents and register in the SOW system as soon as possible.
Ranking and Scoring System
After the application period closes, each PFRON branch will create a ranking list based on points awarded for meeting specific criteria. Higher scores increase the chances of receiving funding.
In cases of tied scores, the order is determined by the date and time of application submission. Funding is awarded according to the ranking list until available funds are exhausted.
Rejected Applications: What to Do
The most common reason for application rejection is the lack of a current medical certificate – the document must be no older than 120 days at the time of submission. While PFRON’s decision is final, applicants can reapply in the next round.
Applicants will receive notification of the outcome – positive or negative – with justification, via the SOW system within 45 days of the application period’s end.
Funding Levels and Thresholds for 2026
The amount of funding is progressive and depends on the purchase price of the adapted vehicle – the higher the vehicle’s value, the lower the percentage of support for subsequent price brackets.
For vehicles adapted for drivers with disabilities, funding is: 80% up to 150,000 złoty, 50% for amounts exceeding 150,000 złoty up to 250,000 złoty, 30% up to 300,000 złoty, and none above that amount.
For vehicles adapted for transporting passengers with disabilities, support is: 85% up to 130,000 złoty, 50% up to 200,000 złoty, 30% up to 230,000 złoty, with no funding available above that amount.
