Following concerns raised by a PiS spokesman, MEP Piotr Müller stated that Jarosław Kaczyński did not object to Mateusz Morawiecki’s new association.
Müller: No Statutory Concerns Raised
Piotr Müller asserted that the activities of the “Rozwój Plus” association serve to increase support for Law and Justice (PiS), and therefore are fully consistent with the party’s statutes.
Müller stated he discussed the matter with Jarosław Kaczyński approximately two weeks prior, and the PiS leader expressed no reservations regarding the association founded by Mateusz Morawiecki.
PiS Spokesman Expresses Disagreement
PiS spokesman Rafał Bochenek conveyed that party members have expressed concerns about Mateusz Morawiecki’s actions, stating the new association is a non-party entity that contradicts the PiS statutes.
Bochenek warned that participation in the association is incompatible with the PiS statutes and will result in disciplinary consequences.
Morawiecki Defends Association’s Purpose
Mateusz Morawiecki affirmed that his association does not operate against Law and Justice, aiming instead to support the party through expertise and other means.
Morawiecki stated he has received no signals suggesting PiS politicians fear being removed from party lists or expelled for their involvement in the initiative.
Müller Downplays Disagreement
Müller stated he does not wish to accuse Rafał Bochenek of misrepresenting information, acknowledging the challenges of being a spokesman.
He expressed hope for clarification of the situation, while maintaining his belief that there should be no doubts about the association’s intentions.
