The Polish government is finalizing plans to distribute the 14th pension payment in September 2026, with two specific groups of seniors set to receive their funds ahead of the standard schedule.

September Payout Timeline

While the Council of Ministers has yet to make a formal decision, the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy has prepared a draft decree proposing September 2026 for the disbursement. Beneficiaries will receive the payment automatically alongside their regular September pension or annuity, with no formal application required.

Payment Schedule and Early Disbursement

The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) typically processes payments on the 1st, 6th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th of each month. Due to the 2026 calendar, two groups of beneficiaries will receive their funds earlier than usual, though most disbursement dates remain unchanged.

Payment Amounts and Eligibility

The gross amount for the 14th pension is set at 1,978.49 PLN, matching the lowest pension after the March indexation. Full payments are granted to those whose monthly benefit does not exceed 2,900 PLN gross. For those exceeding this limit, the “zloty for zloty” principle applies, reducing the bonus progressively, provided the payout remains at least 50 PLN gross.

Beneficiaries and Exclusions

The benefit is available to those who possess the right to specific social benefits as of August 31, 2026. Individuals with high primary pensions may see their additional benefit reduced to zero if they exceed established income thresholds.

Regulatory Status

The current schedule is based on a draft decree. Final authorization remains subject to the approval of the Council of Ministers. While the mechanism is established, the timeline remains technically subject to change until the decree is officially enacted.
