Summer Break Begins for Millions
The academic year has officially come to a close for 4.9 million students who are now beginning their summer vacation. For 396,000 first-grade primary school students, this marks the significant milestone of receiving their very first report card.
Enrollment Data and School Breakdown
According to Ministry of National Education data, the 2025/2026 school year involved 4,917,000 students across all levels. This total includes 3,242,000 students in primary schools and 1,674,000 students in post-primary institutions.
Official Ceremonies Across the Country
On the final day of classes, schools nationwide are holding ceremonies to distribute certificates. Education Ministry officials are attending various events, including Minister Barbara Nowacka in Darłowo, Deputy Minister Katarzyna Lubnauer in Warsaw, Deputy Minister Henryk Kiepura in the Silesian Voivodeship, and Deputy Minister Paulina Piechna-Więckiewicz in Starachowice.
