17-Year-Old Loses Driver’s License Hours After Passing Test

Radom police stopped a 17-year-old driver on Friday for speeding at 103 km/h in a 50 km/h zone, resulting in an immediate three-month suspension of his newly acquired license.

On Friday, July 3, officers from the Radom Municipal Police Traffic Department were monitoring speeds on Starokrakowska Street. Their attention was drawn to a BMW traveling significantly faster than the posted 50 km/h speed limit.

Immediate Penalties for Young Driver

The driver, a 17-year-old who had received his driving qualifications just hours prior, was clocked at 103 km/h. A 38-year-old passenger was also in the vehicle at the time of the stop.

Legal Consequences and Traffic Safety

Authorities suspended the teenager’s driving privileges for three months due to exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 km/h in a built-up area. He was issued a 1,500 PLN fine and received 13 penalty points on his record. Police continue to urge drivers to adhere to speed limits, noting that speeding remains a primary cause of road accidents.
