President Donald Trump stated that US forces hit Iran twenty times harder following attacks on three commercial vessels. Speaking aboard Air Force One, the President noted that while the US has won militarily, he remains skeptical about Iran’s intentions and whether they would uphold a new deal.

Military Strikes on Iranian Infrastructure

CENTCOM confirmed that US strikes targeted approximately 90 Iranian military facilities, including air defense systems, coastal surveillance, and missile depots. These actions were described as retaliation for the recent bombing of civilian vessels.

Iran’s Counter-Response

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported attacking US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain in response to the American strikes. Sirens sounded in both countries, with Kuwaiti officials confirming that air defense systems engaged incoming hostile drone and missile threats.

Tehran’s Warning

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the chairman of the Iranian parliament, issued a warning to the United States, stating that intimidation would not be cost-free. He declared that the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iranian influence and warned against further American threats.

Uncertainty Over Peace Agreements

Trump expressed that the initial peace agreement with Iran is effectively void, though he does not anticipate a full-scale war. A temporary 60-day ceasefire brokered by Pakistan in mid-June remains formally in place, despite the ongoing exchange of fire.
