New Poll Shows Shifting Support for Polish Parties

A recent Opinia24 survey reveals a notable shift in voter preferences, with three political parties recording gains while two major players see their support decline ahead of potential parliamentary elections.

The Decline of Leading Parties

The Civic Coalition, led by Donald Tusk, remains the frontrunner despite a decline in support. With 31.3 percent of the vote, the party saw a 2.8 percentage point drop compared to the previous month’s survey. Similarly, Law and Justice (PiS) holds second place with 22.8 percent, marking a 1.4 percentage point decrease.

Growth Trends Among Other Parties

Konfederacja, led by Sławomir Mentzen and Krzysztof Bosak, holds third place with 13.4 percent, an increase of 0.8 percentage points. The New Left saw the most significant growth, rising 1.7 percentage points to 9.2 percent. Grzegorz Braun’s Konfederacja Korony Polskiej also gained 0.5 percentage points, reaching 8 percent support.

Parties Falling Below the Threshold

Several current governing coalition members and opposition parties would fail to enter the Sejm. Polska 2050 currently holds 1.7 percent support, while the Polish People’s Party (PSL) sits at 1.6 percent. Additionally, Razem, led by Adrian Zandberg, is currently at 3 percent support.

Methodology and Context

The survey reflects data collected after the hospital scandal at the Southern Hospital in Warsaw. A total of 8.1 percent of respondents remain undecided, while 0.9 percent would choose a different party. The study was conducted between July 6 and July 8, 2026, using a group of 1,000 adults via CATI and CAWI methods.
