A 17-year-old passenger died after a Volkswagen carrying nine people—four of whom were riding on the roof—crashed in Mściszewice, Poland, early Saturday morning while driven by an intoxicated teenager.

The Incident and Fatal Outcome

In the early hours of Saturday, July 11, a Volkswagen rolled over in Mściszewice, Kartuzy County. The vehicle was carrying nine individuals, with five inside and four positioned on the roof, when it veered off a forest road into a ditch.

A 17-year-old passenger sustained fatal injuries during the rollover and was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital. The remaining passengers were reported to be unharmed.

Driver Irresponsibility and Legal Consequences

The 17-year-old driver was found to have no driving license and was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol level of approximately one per mille. He has been detained by police.
