Serious Accident in Targówek: Pedestrian Struck by City Bus

A woman sustained serious injuries on Sunday, July 12, after falling under a departing city bus at approximately 10:30 PM near the intersection of Radzymińska and Gorzykowska streets in Warsaw.

Circumstances of the Accident

According to preliminary reports, the woman was in the immediate vicinity of a line 190 bus as it pulled away from the bus stop. She fell under the vehicle and became partially trapped beneath the chassis.

Emergency Response and Medical Care

Traffic police arrived first at the scene to secure the area and administer initial first aid. A medical rescue team subsequently took over, preparing the victim for transport to a hospital, where she is receiving treatment for serious injuries.

Investigation and Testing

The bus driver passed a breathalyzer test confirming he was sober. Preliminary findings indicate the victim smelled strongly of alcohol. Police are currently collecting evidence, including photographic documentation and potential surveillance footage from the bus and city cameras, to determine the exact cause of the incident.
