Toyota Engine Dislodged in High-Impact S8 Crash

On Tuesday, July 14, at 11:22 AM, a Toyota driver lost control on the S8 highway in Marki, causing a severe collision that scattered engine components and triggered a multi-vehicle pileup.

High-Speed Collision in Marki

The incident occurred on the S8 highway heading toward Bialystok. A Toyota struck the crash barriers with such force that its engine and front suspension were torn from the vehicle, coming to rest in the left lane.

After the initial impact, the Toyota rebounded and struck a Volkswagen Caddy. Emergency services, including four fire crews, secured the site, and medical teams evaluated those involved, though no hospitalizations were required.

Traffic Disruption and Secondary Accidents

While responders used a crane to clear the debris and move the wrecked vehicles to the emergency lane, the investigation shifted to the opposite side of the highway. Motorists heading toward Warsaw began slowing down to observe the crash, leading to a lack of attention.

This distraction resulted in at least two additional collisions on the lanes leading to Warsaw. Reports indicate that up to 10 vehicles were involved in these subsequent accidents, requiring further police intervention.
