Cyclist Hospitalized After Collision at Żwirki i Wigury and Hynka Intersection

A cyclist was transported to the hospital on Tuesday, July 14, following a collision with a Kia driver at the intersection of Żwirki i Wigury and Hynka streets shortly before 3:00 PM.

Collision Details

Initial findings indicate that the driver was traveling on Żwirki i Wigury and attempting a right turn onto Hynka toward Aleja Krakowska. Both the driver and the cyclist had a green light at the time of the incident.

While executing the turn, the driver crossed the bicycle path occupied by the cyclist, resulting in a collision that caused the rider to fall onto the roadway.

Emergency Response and Investigation

Officers from the prevention unit were the first to arrive, securing the scene and requesting medical assistance. The injured man was treated by paramedics and subsequently transported to the hospital.

Officers from the Road Traffic Department arrived to conduct further on-site procedures and are currently working to determine the exact circumstances of the collision.
