Poland to Host Multinational Military Exercises This Autumn

Prime Minister Donald Tusk has revealed that special military exercises are scheduled to take place in Poland this autumn. The announcement, made during a press conference in Paris, emphasized the importance of these drills for national and regional security.

The exercises were discussed during a meeting of the so-called “coalition of the willing” held in France on Monday. The primary focus of these talks was ensuring the security of Ukraine and the broader region following the eventual conclusion of the war.

European Security and Allied Cooperation

According to the Prime Minister, the participation of French and British forces is a critical component of the upcoming maneuvers. Tusk stated that these exercises are designed to prepare Europe for implementing real security guarantees.

Tusk highlighted that the decision to host British and French soldiers comes in response to recent threats from Vladimir Putin and ongoing Russian aggression. The Polish government views the escalation by Moscow as a persistent threat that necessitates a coordinated defense response.

Logistics and Strategic Role

Beyond hosting exercises, Poland is preparing the logistics and financial infrastructure to support the permanent presence of allied forces, extending beyond the existing American military cooperation. Tusk underscored that Poland’s role within this coalition and the wider European security architecture is increasingly significant.
