Truck Collides With Driving School Car on S8; Two Hospitalized

On Wednesday, July 15, at approximately 1:30 PM, a Volvo truck collided with a Suzuki driving school vehicle on the S8 expressway, resulting in injuries to both the instructor and student.

Collision Details and Location

The accident occurred between Łabiszyńska and Marywilska streets, on the carriageway leading toward the Grot-Rowecki Bridge. Preliminary findings indicate that the truck driver struck the Suzuki while changing lanes.

Impact and Secondary Collision

Following the impact, the driving school car was forced off the road, striking an embankment and a truss pole located along the route.

Casualties and Emergency Response

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. The driving school instructor, who suffered spinal and leg injuries, and the student, who sustained a chest injury, were both transported to the hospital.

Investigation

Officers from the Traffic Department’s accident unit conducted further investigative procedures at the scene.
