Siad was found dead in his home in Colombes near Paris. As reported by the prosecutor’s office in Nanterre, the man’s body was found on Monday evening, and an investigation into the causes of his death has been initiated.
Denials and Prior Allegations
Five complaints for rape and sexual assault had previously been filed against Siad, who was suspected of introducing models to Epstein who later accused the financier of rape. Siad was under investigation by the Paris human trafficking unit, though he denied the accusations and insisted his only business was recruiting models.
Global Search for Girls
Earlier this year, documents related to Epstein—a billionaire financier and sex offender—were published in the US. These files revealed that Siad searched for girls for Epstein in various locations worldwide, including Poland, and sent him their photographs without clearly defining the purpose, occasionally referring to the women as “hostesses” in emails.
Victim Testimony and Epstein’s Death
Siad is also implicated by the testimony of an Epstein victim who stated in 2022 that Siad wanted her to recruit girls for Epstein—not as models, but as prostitutes. According to this testimony, Siad showed her photos of girls to determine if they would appeal to the financier. Epstein was arrested in 2019 for sex trafficking of minors and was found dead in his New York jail cell that same year.
US Justice Department Disclosures
In January of this year, the US Department of Justice released documents compiled from various investigations into Epstein, confirming his extensive ties to global political and financial elites. The exact number of Epstein’s victims remains unknown, but unsealed files and lawsuits indicate that hundreds of women claim he sexually exploited them or procured them for his acquaintances.
