Municipal Guard Beaten Outside City Hall in Pruszków, 50-Year-Old Suspect Arrested

A municipal guard was assaulted and hospitalized outside the Pruszków City Hall on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in the swift arrest of a 50-year-old male suspect by fellow officers.

Attack Outside Pruszków City Hall

On Wednesday, July 22, at around 12:30 PM, an attack on a municipal guard took place in the parking lot outside the City Hall in Pruszków. The injured officer was transported to the hospital, and the 50-year-old suspect allegedly involved in the assault was apprehended.

The Pruszków police received the report regarding the incident. Dispatched officers confirmed that the 50-year-old man had attacked the municipal guard, violating his physical integrity. Because the municipal guard is a public official, he is granted special legal protection while performing his official duties.

Suspect Appounded and Handed Over to Police

The injured victim received medical assistance and was subsequently transported to the hospital. The aggressor was subdued and detained by other municipal guards who were nearby, and the 50-year-old was then handed over to the police officers.

After receiving medical attention, the injured guard was questioned. Police officers also conducted procedural actions with the detained man, with proceedings pointing toward charges of making criminal threats and violating the physical integrity of a public official under Articles 190 and 222 of the Criminal Code.

Article 190 of the Criminal Code addresses threatening another person with a crime to their detriment or the detriment of their next of kin, if the threat arouses justified fear that it will be carried out, carrying a penalty of up to three years of imprisonment. Article 222 of the Criminal Code concerns the violation of the physical integrity of a public official during or in connection with the performance of official duties, punishable by a fine, restriction of liberty, or up to three years of imprisonment.

Further procedural actions involving the detained 50-year-old were scheduled for Thursday, July 23, at the Pruszków headquarters. According to unofficial information obtained by reporters, the beating and criminal threats may have a personal background related to a love triangle, while the exact circumstances and motives are currently being investigated by the police.
