US President Donald Trump told Axios he is close to deciding on a massive military strike against Iran, noting that Washington is fully prepared despite no final orders being issued yet.

US President Donald Trump revealed in an interview with the Axios portal that he is considering carrying out a “massive attack” on Iran, bigger than ever before. He emphasized that a final decision has not yet been made, but the US is fully prepared.

Two American officials confirmed that no final decision has been made and no new orders have been issued to the military.

Israel’s Readiness and Potential Consequences

Trump stated that Israel would join the operation within two minutes if asked, though the US does not need anyone to start a new campaign against Iran. He also noted that Israeli participation would carry consequences, implying potential Iranian retaliation against Israel.

Regarding negotiations, the president remarked that Iranians want to talk but are not yet ready to make a deal, assessing that they have not experienced enough pain.

Oil Prices and Washington Events

The current escalation has pushed crude oil prices above $100 per barrel, while a return to full-scale war currently enjoys very low public support in the US.

Trump also told Axios that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to attend memorial services next week in Washington for the late Senator Lindsey Graham, adding that relations with Bibi are very good.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced during a Thursday briefing that Trump will deliver a speech on Tuesday at the funeral service for the Republican senator at the Washington National Cathedral.
