Body Found Drifting in Żerański Canal Near Legionowo

Emergency services recovered a dead man’s body from the Żerański Canal in Stanisławów Pierwszy after a witness raised the alarm around 11:00 AM.

Discovery of the Body in Żerański Canal

Around 11:00 AM, emergency services were alerted by a witness who noticed a body drifting in the Żerański Canal near Izabelińska Street in Stanisławów Pierwszy, Legionowo County.

Legionowo WOPR, a water ambulance, fire department units, and police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene. WOPR rescuers located and pulled the body ashore, but the man was already dead.

Investigation Into Identity and Circumstances

Preliminary findings indicate the deceased was about 50 years old, and his identity is currently being established. It remains unknown how long the body was in the water or how the man entered the canal.

The scene has been secured, and police officers are conducting inspections and gathering evidence under the supervision of a prosecutor to determine the exact cause of death and circumstances of the incident.
