Daytime Weather and Temperatures
On Sunday, cloud cover will be small to moderate, increasing at times in the northwest with passing rainfall and local storms yielding up to about 15 mm of precipitation. Thermometers will show from 24°C in the northwest to 32°C in parts of the south, while coastal areas will be cooler at 19°C to 22°C.
Winds will be southerly and southwesterly, weak to moderate, with southern gusts reaching around 60 km/h and Sudeten gusts hitting up to 100 km/h.
Severe Nighttime Weather and Wind Gusts
In the night from Sunday to Monday, cloud cover will increase over Poland with passing rain and potential storms in many areas. IMGW synoptician Michał Kowalczuk stated that the most severe phenomena are expected in the north and northwest, where precipitation will reach up to 25 mm.
Minimum temperatures will range from 14°C in the north to 19°C in the south. Winds will be weak to moderate, turning westerly from the east, with gusts hitting around 80 km/h generally and up to 85 km/h in the northwest.
IMGW Storm and Heatwave Alerts
IMGW issued first-degree storm warnings for Sunday covering the Warmian-Masurian, Pomeranian, West Pomeranian, Lubusz, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, large parts of Greater Poland, northwestern Masovia, and western Podlasie voivodeships. These areas will experience storms with 20 mm to 30 mm of rain, gusts up to 85 km/h, and localized hail between Sunday 8:00 PM and Monday 10:00 AM.
First-degree heatwave warnings remain active for all of Łódź, Lower Silesian, Opole, Silesian, and Świętokrzyskiej voivodeships, alongside parts of Lesser Poland, Greater Poland, Lubusz, Masovia, Lublin, Kuyavian-Pomeranian, and Subcarpathian voivodeships, with maximum temperatures of 30°C to 32°C until Sunday 7:00 PM.
Early Week Weather Forecast
On Monday, heavy cloud cover will gradually clear in western Poland during the late afternoon. The eastern region will see passing rain and storms with 30 mm of precipitation, while Subcarpathia expects the highest rainfall up to 40 mm.
Temperatures will range from 19°C in the northwest to 26°C in the southeast, and around 17-18°C right by the sea. Winds will be westerly and northwesterly, reaching up to 80 km/h during storms and 90 km/h high in the mountains.
During the night from Monday to Tuesday, skies will clear across many parts of Poland with mostly small to moderate cloud cover and possible weak, passing rain in the east and north. Minimum temperatures will range from 10°C to 14°C, and 8°C to 10°C in foothill areas, with weak to moderate westerly winds and northern gusts.
