Morawiecki’s Hypothetical Party Shakes Up the Right in New IBRiS Poll

A new IBRiS poll for “Rzeczpospolita” reveals that a hypothetical party led by former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki would secure 7.4 percent support, significantly impacting the political balance on the right while Civic Coalition leads nationally.

Support for Morawiecki’s Hypothetical Party

According to an IBRiS poll conducted for “Rzeczpospolita”, the Rozwój Plus grouping, if established by former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, could count on 7.4 percent support. The survey, carried out on July 24-25, took this hypothetical grouping into account.

Current Party Standings and Coalition Leader

Civic Coalition would enjoy the greatest support with 30.1 percent, representing an increase of 1 percentage point compared to early July. Law and Justice (PiS) would take second place with 17.3 percent, marking a drop of nearly 6 percentage points from the beginning of July.

Other Parties Beyond the Podium

Konfederacja would place third with 12.3 percent support, a drop of 1 percentage point, followed by MEP Grzegorz Braun’s Konfederacja Korony Polskiej at 10.9 percent, down 0.1 percentage points. New Left would clear the electoral threshold with 7 percent, falling 1.4 percentage points.

The Rest of the Political Field and Turnout

Parties missing the threshold include PSL at 2.8 percent, Razem at 1.6 percent, and Polska 2050 at 0.5 percent, while 10.1 percent of respondents remained undecided. Voter turnout would stand at 51.4 percent, compared to the 60.4 percent declared turnout at the beginning of July.

Impact on the Right Wing and Methodology

Authors of the study point out that despite the appearance of Rozwój Plus, total right-wing support remains close to early July levels at 47.9 percent. The IBRiS poll for “Rzeczpospolita” was conducted on July 24-25, 2026, using the CATI method on a representative group of 1,000 adult Poles.
