Meteorologists from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management have issued an official level 3 warning against extremely high temperatures hitting the region in the coming hours. Mercury levels will exceed 35 degrees Celsius, and tropical nights will not bring the expected relief, with a 95 percent probability of this dangerous phenomenon.

Extreme IMGW Alert for Wrocław

The Central Forecasting Office – Wrocław Branch issued meteorological warning no. 56 concerning the highest, 3rd degree of danger for the city of Wrocław and the entire Wrocław poviat. The dangerous aura starts on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 12:00 and lasts at least until Friday, July 31, at 20:00.

Peak Heat Wave on Thursday and Friday

According to IMGW forecasts, Thursday will be the most difficult day regarding body burden, with maximum daytime temperatures ranging from 33°C to 36°C. On Friday, the heat will ease slightly, but mercury will still indicate dangerous values from 31°C to 34°C.

Dangerous Tropical Nights Ahead

Experts note extremely high minimum temperatures at night, not dropping below 19°C to 22°C. This means tropical nights occur, during which the human body has heavily hindered regeneration after the daytime heat wave.
