Mokotów Police Arrest Man for Threats, Home Invasion, and Property Damage

Officers in Warsaw’s Mokotów district arrested a man who threatened two women, damaged an apartment door, and unlawfully entered the premises on July 27, 2026.

Arrest and Initial Charges

Police officers from the Mokotów Patrol and Reconnaissance Department detained a man who threatened two women, damaged the front door of an apartment, and forced his way into the premises. The suspect was charged with making criminal threats, violation of domestic peace, and property damage, and was placed under police supervision.

The incident occurred on July 27, 2026, on Gotarda Street in Warsaw. According to police findings, the man was acting aggressively while searching for his son. He damaged the front door of one of the residential units and then forced his way inside, during which he issued criminal threats against a woman inside the apartment and a neighbor who intervened.

Police Intervention and Investigation

A police patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene. Officers detained the aggressive man and carried out necessary procedural actions with him, discovering an object resembling a knife on the suspect. Further investigation revealed it was the body of a woodworking knife without a mounted blade.

The suspect was formally charged with two counts of making criminal threats under Article 190 § 1 of the Penal Code, violation of domestic peace under Article 193 of the Penal Code, and property damage under Article 288 § 1 of the Penal Code. For these offenses, the man faces up to 5 years of imprisonment.

Legal Measures and Supervision

Preventative measures applied to the man include police supervision, a referral for medical examinations, and a restraining order prohibiting him from approaching the victims. The proceedings are being conducted under the supervision of the Warsaw Mokotów District Prosecutor’s Office.
