PiS Spokesperson After Party Meeting: Some Grill, Others Work

Following a PiS parliamentary club meeting addressing the party’s future after a split, spokesperson Rafał Bochenek described the gathering as routine while detailing upcoming political strategies and party organization.

Routine Meeting on Party Future

Earlier, Bochenek informed that during Thursday’s PiS club meeting, politicians would discuss the party’s future following a split, but now the spokesperson described it as routine.

Jarosław Kaczyński regularly meets with parliamentarians, on average about once a quarter, to analyze the current political situation in the country and discuss certain directions and actions, he said at a press conference in front of the Law and Justice headquarters.

Some Grill, Others Work

This meeting had a slightly more relaxed atmosphere due to the upcoming holidays, with very active and hardworking weeks ahead, featuring a concrete strategy and plan, as Bochenek argued.

On Friday, July 31, the Development Plus conference organized by Mateusz Morawiecki will take place, featuring evening talks about Poland and a shared grill.

Today’s meeting was also an opportunity to discuss the situation in the party and organize formal and legal matters, with certain issues already settled and decisions made, looking forward rather than to the past, Bochenek stated.

Upcoming Electoral Program Outline

He also announced that on August 6, one of the first holiday initiatives will take place, during which the party will present the outline of its electoral program.

Escalating Conflict Within PiS

Since Jarosław Kaczyński announced that members of the Development Plus association resigned their party membership, the internal conflict has been growing.

On Tuesday, July 28, the split was supposed to be sealed by the PiS Political Committee, but ultimately this did not happen, and the authorities decided not to exclude Morawiecki and his supporters.

Morawiecki Forms New Parliamentary Club

On the same day, Morawiecki announced the creation of the Development Plus parliamentary club as a future action forum.

He then criticized PiS politicians, stating that leadership takes steps forward and backward while genuine factionalists and intriguers try to make the party deal with itself and play toward its failure so they can take over.
