RCB Issues Nationwide Safety Alert Featuring Digital Emergency Guide

On Friday morning, the Government Centre for Security distributed a nationwide text alert directing citizens to a new digital safety guide developed by key Polish ministries.

Nationwide SMS Alert Issued

The Government Centre for Security announced on Friday morning that an alert was sent to recipients across the entire country with the text: “MSWiA: stay prepared. Download: poradnikbezpieczenstwa.gov.pl”. This represents the digital version of the Safety Guide, which includes information regarding alarm signals and warning messages.

Emergency Backpack and Shelter Recommendations

The guide also contains recommendations on preparing an evacuation backpack, which should include bottled water, a first aid kit, documents, and cash. It further indicates what should be done if one cannot take cover in a designated shelter location. Information on shelter locations can be found at the municipal office, the State or Volunteer Fire Service unit, and on the official website.

Interagency Collaboration and Swedish Inspiration

The creation of the crisis guide by the Ministry of Interior and Administration, the Ministry of National Defence, and the Government Centre for Security has been underway since early 2025. Nearly 60 experts from various fields were involved in the work, and the brochure is modeled in part on a similar guide published by the Swedish government.
