An 18-year-old Ukrainian citizen attacked a young woman with a knife on Gagarina Street in Wrocław. According to RMF 24 reports, the injured victim was transported to a hospital, while the perpetrator was detained by police officers.

The incident occurred during the night from Saturday to Sunday. The young man struck the young woman with a knife near the stairwell entrance on Gagarina Street in Wrocław. Monika Kaleta of the Wrocław police stated in an interview with RMF 24 that the attacker fled the scene but was quickly apprehended by law enforcement officers.

Investigation and Motive

The motive behind the attack remains unknown at this time. It has been confirmed that the assailant is 18 years old and originates from Ukraine. Law enforcement officials have classified the incident as an attempted murder, though police have not yet disclosed whether the victim and the attacker were acquainted with each other.

The life of the injured woman is not in danger. The prosecutor’s office is expected to release further information regarding the incident on Monday.
