Second-Degree Heat Warnings Issued
IMGW has issued second-degree heat warnings for the voivodeships of Lubusz (southern counties), Lower Silesian, Opole, Silesian, parts of Lesser Poland, Subcarpathian (Jas艂o, Krosno, Krosno county, Sanok, Lesko, and Bieszczady counties), Lublin (northern counties), 艢wi臋tokrzyskie, 艁贸d藕, Greater Poland (southern counties), and Masovian (southern counties). Forecasters predict daytime temperatures in these areas will range from 30 to 33 degrees. The warnings remain in effect until August 3 at 8:00 PM.
Extreme Temperatures Up to 37 Degrees
IMGW reports temperatures reaching up to 37 degrees. A second-degree warning has been issued for the following voivodeships: Lesser Poland (My艣lenice, Wieliczka, Bochnia, Brzesko, Tarn贸w, Tarn贸w county, and D膮browa counties), Subcarpathian (D臋bica, Mielec, Kolbuszowa, Tarnobrzeg, Tarnobrzeg county, Ropczyce-S臋dzisz贸w, Strzy偶贸w, Rzesz贸w, Rzesz贸w county, 艁a艅cut, Le偶ajsk, Nisko, Stalowa Wola, Jaros艂aw, Przemy艣l, Przemy艣l county, Lubacz贸w, and Przeworsk counties), and Lublin (Tomasz贸w Lubelski, Bi艂goraj, Jan贸w Lubelski, Zamo艣膰, Zamo艣膰 county, and Hrubiesz贸w counties). Thermometers there will show from 30 to 37 degrees during the day and from 18 to 23 degrees at night. The warnings are valid until August 5 at 8:00 PM.
Weather Forecast for Monday
On Monday, forecasters predict small to moderate cloud cover, which will appear locally in the south, center, and later in the north, periodically increasing to large. In the south, occasional passing rain showers will occur, with local thunderstorms in the Carpathian region. Rainfall totals during thunderstorms will reach up to 25 mm. Maximum temperatures may reach from 20 degrees Celsius by the sea and 23 degrees Celsius in the north, around 30 degrees Celsius in the center, up to 33 degrees Celsius in the south. The wind will be light that day, and moderate by the sea, coming from easterly directions. During thunderstorms, gusts can reach up to 70 km/h.
Nighttime Weather Conditions
At night, cloud cover will also be small and moderate. However, at times in the center and northeast, it will increase to large. Locally it will bring passing rain showers, and locally in the northeast also thunderstorms. Precipitation totals in the center and northeast will reach about 20 mm. Minimum temperatures will range from 15 degrees Celsius in the north to 20 degrees Celsius in the south. The wind will be light, and locally moderate by the sea. In the Carpathian foothills, it may be gusty at times, from the east. During thunderstorms, gusts will reach up to 60 km/h.
Tuesday Forecast and Peak Temperatures
IMGW predicts that on Tuesday cloud cover will be small and moderate, periodically increasing to large. Passing rain showers will appear locally, and in the mountains, in the west, and in the northeast, local thunderstorms. Precipitation totals during thunderstorms will reach up to 15 mm, and up to 25 mm in the Tatras. Maximum temperatures will range from 27 degrees Celsius in the north, around 34 degrees Celsius in the center, up to 37 degrees Celsius in the southeast. It will be cooler by the sea, where thermometers will indicate from 22 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees Celsius. The wind will be light and moderate, and gusty in the foothills of the Bieszczady mountains. During thunderstorms, the speed of the elements can reach up to 70 km/h.
