Firefighters Force Entry in Płock Apartment: One Dead, Another Hospitalized

Emergency services forced entry into a Płock apartment on Saturday afternoon following neighbor concerns, discovering a severely decomposed body and a 44-year-old man in urgent need of medical care.

Discovery of the Deceased and Hospitalization of a 44-Year-Old

In one of the apartments on Gałczyńskiego Street in Płock, the body of a man in a state of advanced decomposition was discovered. Also present in the premises was a 44-year-old who required urgent medical assistance and was transported to the hospital.

Intervention by Services Following Neighbor Reports

The incident occurred on Saturday, August 1, at around 5:00 PM. Services were notified by concerned neighbors who had not had contact with the two men living in the apartment for several days. Officers from the Płock Municipal Police Headquarters were dispatched to the specified address.

Forced Entry by Firefighters

Police officers repeatedly tried to contact the individuals inside the apartment. However, no one answered the knocking, and the door was locked. Firefighters were called to the scene to help officers gain entry by force.

As reported to Panorama Płock by police press officer Comms. Monika Jakubowska from the Płock Municipal Police Headquarters, officers found a 44-year-old man requiring urgent medical help in one of the rooms. He was handed over to an emergency medical team and subsequently transported to the hospital.

Investigation and Autopsy

While checking subsequent rooms, police officers revealed the body of the second man. The corpse was in a state of advanced decomposition. An inspection was conducted at the scene under the supervision of a prosecutor, and traces were secured. The body was handed over for an autopsy.

Police are clarifying all circumstances of the incident. The ongoing activities are intended, among other things, to determine the identity of the deceased, the cause of his death, and how long the body had been in the apartment.
